Cowboy Down

This will take on two different meanings. As I type this we are waiting on a Nightingale helicopter to arrive to take off a VA Trooper that was trying to catch up to us. He was involved in an accident and was severely injured. We ask for God to watch over this Trooper.

The second part of Cowboy Down is your's truly is out until after lunch. Another rider who was probably doing something he shouldn't slammed into me as he went down. My back rim is bent and can't be replaced. All other parts were fixable.

I'm going to Williamsburg at lunch to get a new wheel set - this is something I wasn't expecting to pay for this week.

I didn't get injured and somehow was able to do some great riding with no rear wheel. I pushed a Fairfax County rider forward, just before I took the bike into the gravel. I took no one out, didn't fall off the bike and made it to a soft stop. Thank you God for letting my be a BMX rider in my youth.

Helicopter is overhead - somber moment.

Two minutes. Keep the Trooper in your thoughts and prayers.
