We are at Fort Hunt Park. We arrived about an hour early. The sun is shinning and there are a lot of laughs as the riders get with their groups for photos.
The hills this morning are past us and we have a short, 14-ish mile, ride into the Pentagon.
Chatting with several friends today and I realize more and more how important our cause is to the families.
The Law Enforcement United is no longer a once a year event. It isn't just about the cycling. We'll start to see several events happen over the next year.
I can't wait to see the camp that COPS is building in Virginia. This will be a great thing for the kids to heal and meet other kids who are also in the same situation as they are in.
It is comming to a close - one more wrap up blog from me and I'm done with ride blogs.
Maybe next year I'll ride for Hugh Coyle, a distant relative who was shot and killed in the line of duty in 1894. I need to do more research and reach out to the local police.
