This is the day we have trained for and this is the day we start our ride to honor the men and women who have their lives, while serving all of us. We also ride for the families they left behind.
I'm sitting in my hotel room and I can hear the movement of the Support Team in the halls, getting ready to keep us riding. My Dad left the room a few moments ago to allow me some time to put on the butt butter, sunscreen and my riding kit.
As we ride today, the family of Corporal Tom Jensen, Prince William County, EOW 03.09.10 will be on my mind. Head on over to the resigned ODMP.org website to read CPL Jensen's story. (I am sorry, but I can't link to it, because I am using an APP on my Android phone.)
Also on my mind are my friends and the residents along the a Mississippi River.
